Why Did I Study Massage Therapy?
T'is the influence of my darling grandmother, Anna, who died at 100 full years of life a few years back. Grandma came from the "old country" of green hills, vineyards & hard work in Czechoslovakia before WW1 and brought her relentless work ethic with her.
Anna could make anything grow; plants, animals, children, business! You didn't mess with grandma Anna. But, she had the gift of healing too. She would massage her grandchildren when we were ill & next morning...we'd be well! She used poultices that worked when the surgeon's skill didn't. Animals & children thrived as she cooked, cleaned, planted, petted &...invested! Yes, she was an extraordinary businesswoman too.
What does this have to do with me? Well, I promised myself if I ever had the opportunity to learn more about those healing skills she found in her hands I wouldn't let the opportunity pass by. It took some time, but I've found my calling. Just a small part of all the remarkable gifts inspired by my grandmother. Thanks grandma! Rest in peace.
